Physical activities were useless for depression Those who suffer from clinical depression people should not prescribe exercise as a method of therapy. Researchers from the UK have found that sports against lingering spleen does not help.

Currently, in many countries the doctors recommended to treat patients with depression by prescribing, among other things regular physical exercise . Allegedly, they are able to help a person recover from this debilitating mental disorder. However, scientists from the Universities of Bristol, Exeter, as well as medical and dental college Peninsula College proved that sport is not able to cure depression .

They tracked the health of 300 people suffering from a moderate or severe form of depression. Some of these patients received standard drugs, including drugs of the group of antidepressants, and others in addition to the regular sport.

People are encouraged to all possible types of physical activity, like walking with dogs, running or dancing. Patients met with counselors three times over 8 months, during this period they also received 10 telephone consultations. All were asked to keep a diary that would show how it helps the sport.

Initially, the study was to prove the benefit physical exertion   in the fight against depression. But in fact it turned out that the patients in both groups showed similar results.
