Heart failure comes with insomnia

Heart failure comes with insomnia Insomnia and lack of sleep are three times increased risk of developing life-threatening heart failure. That is the conclusion drawn by researchers from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim.

Insomnia threatens us not only an unpleasant state of sleepiness at work, slow reaction and depression. It significantly increases the risk of becoming a victim Heart Failure . Italian scientists have found that if a person sleeps at night is bad, little or almost no sleep, the risk of developing heart failure, he grows up to three times.

These conclusions were based on observations of 54 279 volunteers aged 20 to 89 years, which lasted 11 years. Sleep disorders were determined by such key indicators as the frequency of interruptions of sleep during the night, trouble falling asleep, and the feeling of "weakness" in the morning. People who suffered from the symptoms of all three at once, there was three times higher risk of becoming victims Heart Failure   compared with those who did not have any of these problems.

The researchers stress that they have not proved that it causes insomnia is acute heart failure. But the link between these two phenomena are definitely there. heart failure develops in progressive weakness of the heart, which is unable to pump the amount of blood needed for normal body function. The illness causes breathing problems, rapid fatigue, palpitations, swelling of the ankles, and in advanced cases of serious complications, including death. (READ MORE)
