The conference was attended by leading Russian and international experts, they discussed the latest trends and the future of the treatment of acute myocardial infarction.
Mortality from cardiovascular diseases in Russia takes the first place, and 57% in the causes of death from all diseases. Among them, acute myocardial infarction is one of the first places - 39% of the total. Moreover, in the first 15 minutes after the onset of 30-40% of the patients die. Approximately the same number - the next 2:00.
In 2011, in Russia there were only 180,000 cases of acute coronary syndromes (or acute myocardial infarction). Of this amount, only 25 000 patients (13% of the total) received a high-tech help - endovascular revascularization - in the first hours of the disease. For comparison, in the EU the figure is in the range of 75-95% in the Czech Republic and Poland 95%.
"The development of medical technologies that allow to diagnose the disease and to provide quality medical care a wide range of the population, has led to a significant reduction in mortality from cardiovascular disease. But at the same time it is necessary to train the doctors new technologies, and patients and their families informed about the methods of first aid and the timing of the call "ambulance", "said Ioseliani, David G., professor, member - correspondent of RAS, Chief Specialist of endovascular diagnostics and treatment of Mr. . Moscow, the director of the Scientific-Practical Center of interventional cardiology (IC SPC).
In this context, great importance is the introduction of new methods of struggle with acute myocardial infarction. Of particular note is the creation of emergency medical care in acute myocardial infarction, which has already saved the lives of many patients.
During the conference, a symposium was held, at which doctors familiar with innovative methods of treatment of acute myocardial infarction, as well as discussed the translation of the exponential operation of endovascular revascularization based Scientific-Practical Center of interventional cardiology (IC SPC).
