 Calcium chloride  Calcium supplements . It is used to replenish calcium deficiency. Drug action is aimed at improving phagocytosis Prevention of inflammation, reduction in permeability of the vessel walls. Calcium is necessary for smooth muscle, skeletal muscle, takes part in the transmission of nerve impulses, forms the skeletal system, normalizes blood clotting . Intravenous leads to stimulation of the autonomic nervous system (sympathetic section), increased allocation epinephrine   adrenals, also indicates moderate severity diuretic effects . Calcium chloride is produced as a solution.

Indications:

Calcium chloride is prescribed for increased demand for Ca2 + (at the time of intensive growth of the organism, breastfeeding and child bearing). The drug is prescribed for bleeding, allergic reactions, with dystrophic nutritional edema, bronchial asthma, osteomalacia . rickets , Pulmonary tuberculosis, tetany, spazmofilii, lead colic, hypoparathyroidism . Calcium chloride is used for eclampsia, toxic hepatitis , The weakness of labor, with periodic paralysis, psoriasis, pleurisy, pneumonia, eczema.


Contraindications:

Calcium chloride is not indicated for atherosclerosis, hypercalcemia , Predisposition to thrombosis, intolerance.

Side effect:

When administered intravenously, can ventricular fibrillation , Bradycardia, flushing of the skin, feeling the heat. If ingestion notes heartburn , Gastralgia.

Mode of application:

Calcium chloride is injected 5-15 ml of 10% solution is administered by 6-8 drops per minute, slowly. Pre calcium chloride diluted in a solution of sodium chloride, dextrose. Inside the drug is taken after a meal in a 5-10% solution twice a day.

Special instructions:

Calcium chloride is unacceptable administered intramuscularly and subcutaneously. Intravenous administration of the drug causes a burning sensation in the mouth, followed by a sense of the whole body covered.

Drug Interactions:

Calcium chloride slows down the absorption of tetracycline antibiotics, oral formulations of iron, digoxin (recommended interval - at least two hours). In combination with thiazide diuretic drug enhances hypercalcemia. The drug reduces the bioavailability and efficacy of phenytoin Calcitonin   hypercalcemia.
