Composition

In 1 ml of eyedrops contains Midriatsil 0.5% 5 mg tropicamide And Midriatsila in 1 ml 1% - 10 mg tropicamide .

Pharmacological action

The drug suppresses m-cholinergic receptors . It is intended for topical use in ophthalmology.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Suppress m-cholinergic receptors   sphincter of the iris and ciliary muscle, causing cycloplegia   and mydriasis . The effect comes quickly, lasts a short amount of time. Increased intraocular pressure is less pronounced than with atropine .

Pupil dilation is detected in 8-10 minutes after instillation; the maximum effect observed after 25-45 minutes and lasts for two hours. The original size of the pupil is restored after five hours.

Indications
